Message from the Teachers:
Fourth grade is hard at work. The students are actively learning all about New York City. In addition, they are preparing for the New York State English Language Exam which involves reading, writing and listening skills . Balanced literacy is playing an important role in the students proficiency in reading and writing. Also, Everyday Math is being incorporated into our daily schedules. The children are acquiring new strategies for problem solving and critical thinking through various enjoyable, mathematical activities and games. The New York State Math test will take place in the spring. Our hope is that every student will have the ability to meet the standards and have a successful fourth grade experience.
