When a child moves to the United States from a foreign country the biggest problem that is encountered is communicating with other people in English. Dyker has children from Italy, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, China, Haiti, Argentina, Russia, Hong Kong, and Korea -- to name a few! The E.S.L. program serves these children. Basic English skills are taught and developed. |
