NY State Finals Competition at SUNY New Paltz, Saturday, April 12, 2003

Dyker Heights I.S. 201 results at the NY State Finals were complimentary, in that we won medals for 5th place in Life Process Lab and 1st place in the Wright Stuff event. Out of 39 teams participating at the competition Dyker placed well in Robo Billards (10th place), Picture This (13th place), Write It - Do It (17th place), Balloon Race (19th place), and Can't Judge a Powder (19th place). Overall, it was a very exciting and rewarding experience for the students and teachers that participated. Kudos to the teachers who worked with our students and special thanks to Mr. Igneri, Ms. Scognamillo, Mrs. Lee, Ms. Carroll, Ms. Cheng, Ms. Phillipaitis, and Mr. DeStefano. The Science Olympiad Team and teachers wish to thank Mr. LaCascia, Assistant Principal and Mrs. Madeleine Brennan, Principal for their continued support of the Science Olympiad.
