Students
in the Resource Room program are given assistance in a small group setting. Instruction
is individualized to meet the needs of each student in the areas of
reading and math. Assistance and reinforcement of skills are also given using
materials from the students regular subject classwork. In this way students can
maintain their required studies.
Students
are also taught study skills and are encouraged to practice the very important
skill of silent reading. Computer assisted instruction
is utilized to foster an enjoyment for learning. Educational
games and word processing software help to motivate children. Special trips are
taken to reinforce curriculum studies.
