The Academy of Artists
and Writers allows students the opportunity to explore their talents
in cultural arts and technology. Students are introduced to drawing, painting,
sculpting, music, and theater through instruction in the classroom setting,
as well as through visitations to museums, art exhibits, and Broadway
performances. Student accomplishments are celebrated via art exhibits,
vocal and instrumental concerts, and theatrical productions.
Students receive Core Curriculum classes through interdisciplinary theme
based instruction. The workshop model is implemented in all subject areas
to facilitate and to accentuate the importance and relevance of learning.
High motivational strategies make students appreciate knowledge and eager
to learn and achieve beyond expectations.
The Artists and Writers Academy’s goal is to produce well-rounded
individuals who understand and appreciate those things in life which bring
peace and happiness to the mind.
