Grade 6 Student Art: Abstract Expressionism |

The art work presented below are samples of my students' work
after being introduced to the Abstract Expessionist art movement. The Abstract
Expressonist artist turned away from objective painting, that is, art that is recognizable
and aesthetic, to focus their thoughts on what was happening in their own
lives. They expressed their feelings and emotions through color and shape. In the paintings shown, one can recognize many different emotions: happiness, joy, confusion, and, peace. What do you think? ..............................................Mr. M. Fasone |
