When something ends, there is always a new beginning. For many of us, the school year ended on a high note in June, 2010, and now, a new grade of promotion begins. New goals, new challenges, new friends and new beginnings await us all. For our newly enrolled students, we welcome you and we are excited for you to take this first step into the 2010-2011 school year with an open mind and an open heart.
At PS 101, we are always looking for new and innovative learning ideas, strategies, programs and research to enhance our instructional practice and support our beliefs...to give our boys and girls the best educational foundation. Our pledge is a professional goal and personal promise. Each one of our teaching staff members is dedicated and humbled to work with youngsters to teach, inspire, help and learn. As or me, I am very fortunate to be part of such a reputable school, and administrative team.
The year ahead will focus on growing technology practices, newly adopted Core State Standards with our curriculum and the continuum of Arts Residencies. Raising state standards and providing students with teachings, work and skills to meet them will be our primary goal. Our expectations are for our students to work hard and try their personal best always with a strong support system at 101.
Here's to a new beginning, a new day, and new successes!
