PS 101 LIBRARY PROGRAM 2007-2008
Welcome to our PS 101 Library. Students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 may borrow books each week during their regular Library class or Period 8 on Fridays.
This year students in Fourth Grade will be doing an author study. We will be looking at the life and writings of Roald Dahl --- author of JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH; MATILDA; CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and many, many more.
Third Graders are studying Tomie DePaola and his books including NANA UPSTAIRS AND NANA DOWNSTAIRS; STREGANONA and THE ART LESSON.
Second Graders will be reading books that are part of a series such as THE LITTLES and NATE THE GREAT. I hope this will lead them to the library shelves to borrow more books in these series, more books by this author, more books of this genre.
First Graders are enjoying the works of the great Dr. Seuss!!! His books are a lot of fun and can spark an interest in reading.
In Kindergarten we are reading stories about seasons, special days and lessons to be learned.
