The Parks Department Committee plans the renovations for the new
P.S. 101 Park.

Construction will

PS 101 receives a Mayoral Grant to renovate our Playgroud!

It all began with an e-mail:

"Dear Mr. Korrol,
I am happy to inform you that P.S. 101K has been selected by Mayor Bloomberg’s Office to participate in the “Schoolyards-to-Playgrounds” initiative."

Our Parks to Playground Committee consists of PS 101 Principal
Mr. Korrol and Assistant Principal Mrs. Kane, Parent Coordinator Margaret Lloyd, Science teacher Mrs. Mastrianni, Physical Education teacher Mr. G, Student Representatives Daniel, Vy, Hassan, Kristina and Esmir, PTA Co-President Dryer along with The Parks Department (Director PlaNYC Ms. Dudley), representatives from the Mayor's Office (Ms. Elie), and
Landscape Architect Ms. Zornoza.

Our first two meetings consisted of planning stages where the group talked about the changes and upgrades we would like for our Playground and finalized into an initial plan
(see the picture on the left).
