Rock -n- Read!!!

The 25 Book Campaign was a huge success!!!!!!!!

Every grade adapted a musical genre (Country, Hip-Hop, Rock, Motown, Disney, Disco, and the Oldies) and dressed accordingly. Students walked into the school yard to music (from their musical genre). After taking their seats, representatives from each grade came to the microphone, shared their class posters and led their grade in their grade pledge.

Each pledge consisted of the grade altering the lyrics to a song in their musical genre.

Every class signed a contract (class 5-415's and 2-218's can be seen below),
in the form of a record, pledging to read 25 books.

A very special thank you to the staff who worked so incredibly hard with
the students to make this event a huge success.

Thank you so much to the parents and families who attended this event.
There is nothing more special to your child than seeing you here for these events. It is a memory they will hold for a lifetime.

As part of NCLB, every child must read 25 books during the school year.
To launch this event, every grade adopted a genre of music and sang their pledge
to read 25 books to a song of their choice.
