PS 101 Special Education

PS 101 has a very dedicated team of Special Education staff who specialize in helping children with additional needs. Special Education services includes Speech & Language Development, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Collaborative Team Teaching/ Integrated Co-Teaching (CTT), Special Education Support Services, and self-contained small group classes.

PS 101 currently has:

(for the 2010-2011 school year)

    • A Self-Contained class in Grades 3-5
    • 4 CTT classes (Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3)
    • 2 Speech & Language Professionally licensed teachers
    • Special Educations Support Service Teachers
    • 1 Occupational Therapy Professionally licensed teacher
    • Physical Therapy through an outside agency
