Types of Family/Parent Involvement :
· Parenting - sending your child to school prepared to learn.
· Communicating
- talking regularly with your child's teacher about programs, tests, curriculum
and your child's progress.
· Volunteering - assisting with PTA and
school programs & events, tutoring as a Learning
Leader or serving as chaperone on class trips.
· Learning at Home - helping with homework, engaging in educational
activities, making informed education-related decisions. Reading together regularly.
· Decision Making - PTA membership, School Leadership Team, Lobbying
City, State or Federal Government
· Collaborating with Community - coordinate resources or services
available in the community.
