The technology standards developed by the NYC Department of Education require students in K through 8 to show proficiency in specific areas. These standards reflect the integration of instructional technology to achieve success in curriculum based activities, communication, and life skills. Over the course of this school term these standards will be introduced, reinforced, and mastered as required for each grade level.

T1 Students will demonstrate a sound understanding of the nature and operation of technology systems.
T2 Students will practice responsible use of technology systems, information, and software.
T3 Students will use technology tools to enhance learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity.
T4 Students will use a variety of media and formats to communicate information and ideas.
T5 Students will use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources.
T6 Students will use technology resources for solving problems and making informed decisions.
