Mental Arithmetic Bee
P.S.204 has a Mental Arithmetic Bee every year. Only the fourth and fifth grade participate. It is held at the beginning of spring. Ms. Shelse is the coordinator of the bee. To know who goes into the bee, each class has their own bee. Then two students and one alternate will be chosen. The bee gets harder as you go on. You must be a whiz in math. There are four winners of the bee. The first place winner goes on to the District wide bee. Students who are successful will compete in the borough wide bee, then the citywide bee and so on. The winners will receive plaque at the Honors Assembly.
