Science Program

Mr. Sha is the Science teacher at P.S. 204. He has been with P.S. 204 for six years. He also has taught at P.S. 105. Mr. Sha was first interested in science from his early school days. He does mostly experiments and demonstrations with the students. Mr. Sha teaches all grades and likes them all the same. He says there is always something unique found on each grade. Mr. Sha is a great teacher and I hope he continues his work.

Every year students from kindergarten through fifth grade enjoy looking forward to the Science Fair. This fair explores the fascinating world of science and how it affects our lives. Students from kindergarten to second grade enter projects chosen from their own individual class fairs. Students in the third to fifth grade must conduct experiments using the scientific method. All of the participants in the Science Fair must be able to explain their experiment when asked to do so by a judge. Awards are given for Honorable Mention, Third Place, Second Place, and First Place. But everyone chosen to participate is a winner!
