The Storytelling Contest
The annual Storytelling contest held in P.S.204 is a very exciting event. First, a child from each class is chosen after a competition with their classmates. They are then sent to Mrs. Seminara who does a great job in preparing them for the school-wide Storytelling contest. Each contestant of the Storytelling contest is required to have: good eye contact, voice volume, story memorization, poise, correct enunciation and pronunciation, and must show that they are not nervous. The first place winner will go to the district-wide Storytelling contest. They will compete and hopefully, P.S.204 will place. It’s nice to hear the interesting stories that children have to tell as they get better and better, each and every year.
