~Educational Field Trip Ideas~

Students' learning experiences outside of the school setting afford many opportunities for them to expand their knowledge of various topics and to explore new ones. Greater New York City has many museums and special programs which highlight the Themes which are covered in Social Studies and Science. Children's experiences on trips help them synthesize information which they learned in school with representations presented in museums. This in turn, enables them to have aconcrete understanding of the Science or Social Studies Theme which may too abstract without visual, tactile(sensory) representations which are limited in the school setting.

**Below is a list of children's museums. The museums' exhibits highlight our school's Social Studies Core and Science Themes**

**Please arrange some time to schedule visits to the museums with your children. They will have great fun and many positive learning experiences that will enhance their school performance.**
