Library Media Center

Welcome to the P.S.110 Library Media Center

The P.S.110 Library Media Center is a fully automated library. The primary objective of our library is to implement, enrich and support the educational program of the school. Our media center includes a computer lab complete with research and educational software and internet access, a listening center with a wide variety of books on tape, a story time rug and a vast collection of print material. Ms. Audrey Fraenkel is the school library media specialist who is always glad to help.

Our library was renovated with a grant awarded by the Manhattan Borough President. Thanks to C. Virginia Fields, our library is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology and beautiful new bookcases.

One multimedia research project we worked on was about Florence Nightingale, for whom our school was named after. Students in the upper school searched the Internet and collected data on Florence Nightingale and Victorian times. Click here to see a section of our completed projects.

Other multimedia projects we have worked on are: I Love to Read essays by Grade 2 students, Animal Encyclopedia by 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade students.

Here are some web sites with activities related to authors & books:
