Ms.
Salerno's Class: 6-317
Class 6-317 explored the connection between art and community
by examining the graffiti and murals of the Lower East Side.
Through neighborhood walks, photographs, websites, and reproductions,
we analyzed and critiqued the neighborhood images we encounter
everyday. The class decided to create their own mural, which
included positive and peaceful images.
