Four book independent studies were completed by 4th-6th grade students, while 3rd grade students completed three book studies. Students were divided into two groups. One group worked with their classroom teacher and the other with Mrs. Miller. Read some of the excellent projects!

About the Project:
Students were given a PowerPoint template designed by Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Chasin, a District 1 technology staff developer, to use as a framework to complete their study. Students read their books and completed their work independently. They then entered their completed project into a computer at school. Students were not required to create a PowerPoint presentation. Some students chose to present their projects in different ways, such as by writing a more traditional book report or creating a poster, etc. Technical Assistance was provided by Mrs. Chasin and Mrs. Oakley (District 1 Staff Developers) and Ms. Grant the computer lab teacher.
