Mission Statement: We at P.S. 63 feel that today's learners are tomorrow's future. Our goal is to empower all students with the skills necessary to be successful in school and in life. We fulfill our mission by: Placing emphasis on literacy, technology, and mathematics. Expecting high academic achievement that promotes critical thinking. Providing a safe, risk free and secure learning environment. Encouraging parental involvement through open communication and active participation in the planning and implementation of all school activities. Developing a community of learners who value themselves and have an appreciation for the diversity of others. Providing a well rounded curriculum which includes, but is not limited to, computers, music, a variety of art experiences, gym, library, community trips, and after school programs. Exposing students to programs and events which promote social development and result in making them productive members of our society.
