FDA COLLEGE TRIP TO New Haven and Boston 4/22-24/2003

Students of FDA in the 10^th and 11^th grade participated in the 4^th college tour trip during the Spring Break. They visited YALE, HARVARD AND BOSTON UNIVERSITY. In addition, the trip took us to parts of historical Boston where they saw the State Capitol, the African American Museum, and the Holocaust Memorial.

All of the colleges provided us with Campus Tours, and Informational Sessions. In addition, the students had an opportunity to meet with Black and Latino students on all three campuses to discuss the adjustment to college life.

We spent a full day at Harvard and bunked in their recreational room for the night. The students all attended an actual class at Harvard.

All the schools provided us a wealth of information on the admission process, preparation in high school for college, financial packages, and available areas of study.

The students are all looking forward to next year’s trips.
