Watercolor still life painting requires students to design and sketch a composition based on direct observation, Students must then apply color in a number of techniques like a wash or dry-brush style. The knowledge of color theory is also an important component in how and where colors are applied. Transparency and opacity values are explored in the creation of dimension and form.
