| Project: Flower Drawings | Slide Show Samples: |
| Project Description Studio Art: For inspiration students begin this unit by studying the life and work of artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Students engage in direct observational drawing from a variety of flowers and create small sketches showing different 'points of view'. Students are asked to monumentalize their flowers so they appear to be larger than life. Students choose one sketch and enlarge it. After completing the contour drawing students study color theory and apply color to their drawing.
