Participation in Graduation Ceremonies    All schools

Only students who have completed all the requirements for graduation prior to commencement exercises are allowed to participate in them. Students who complete the requirements for graduation during the summer session should have the opportunity to participate in a commencement ceremony once requirements have been met. Students who are already on suspension at the time of the ceremony also may be prohibited from attending these events, but the exclusion must be proportionate to the infraction committed, as indicated in the April 27 issue of Principals’ Weekly.
