MISSION::

The Mathematics department is developing curricula and teaching strategies to implement the New Teaching Standards. We are currently implementing the Integrated Algebra I curriculum. Every ninth grader will be programmed for Integrated Algebra. All students scoring at a performance index of one or two (on a scale of 1-4) will be scheduled for three semesters of Integrated Algebra. The Mathematics Department has always provided very strong preparation for examinations, including many hours of tutoring before school, after school, and on Saturdays. The Mathematics Department has developed its own Saturday Mathematics Program for academics intervention. Besides Integrated Algebra, Math A and Math B, the Mathematics Department also offers Intermediate Algebra, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Placement Calculus AB and BC, and Advanced Placement Statistics.
