Q. What would you like to tell us about yourself?
A. I come from a family of teachers. My mother, father and grandfather were all teachers. I was a classroom teacher for thirteen years before I became an assistant principal. I wanted to become an assistant principal to be able to touch more lives and create positive changes on a larger scale.
Q.What do you like about being an Assistant Principal?
A. Although I miss the frequency of contact I had with my own class of students, I love the contact I have with our wonderful staff and students, and the families in our community.
Q. What are some of your favorite programs at P.S. 97?
A. Our Arts Residency Program is one of my favorites. It combines the arts and literacy. Culminating activities include multi-age, multi-grade drama presentations, murals and quilts.
Q.What would you like to see in the future for P.S. 97?
A. I would like to see every child in every classroom to be fully computer literate and operating on a school-wide computer network. I would also like to see more partnerships between the upper and lower grade classes.
