6th - One on one conference (student & teacher) All work for  September evaluated/graded/remediation, NYC/NYS performance standards
13th - Calcification of E.L.A. regents/ Performance, Standards - Oral  Presentation - Intro (speaking), (ice breakers) mock interviews (peers)
20th - Intro to Literary elements: Pilot, Tone, Theme, and Imaginary, symbolism, personification, Read aloud /shared reading. short stories, Vocabulary
27th - Writing: Response to the literature elements, Meaning, Orginization, Convention "The Rubric", Development language use
NOVEMBER

LESSON

3rd - Poetry: Langston Hughes/Robert Frost/Emily Dickson, The use of literary elements! (metaphor, simile, alliteration) 1b, 2b, 4a, 4b.
10th - One on one with Mr. Fullam, Remediation- Sundays or after school from 9:30pm - 10:15pm, Intro to classical music: Mozart/Baroque/Bach, Reading in the alpha state, Journal - experiential.
17th - Oral presentations on two novels you've read. Preparation - books, notes, Media Center- Internet- spark notes.com, poetry.com, e3a, e3c, e3e
24th - Execute Presentations -  Peer Evaluations, All students will be evaluated on speaking skills & tested on listing skills e3a, c, e
December

Lesson

1st - All November assignments, Journal Due - one on one/w inspection, Remediation, Intro to communications as a career, Extra help for regents (prep)
8th - Talk show host/ weather reporter/ news reporter - students will research, write, and perform in front of classmates; small group discussion after
15th - Review subject matter in mini-lessons, Students write and speak about what they may have learned using L.S.R.W as a model
22nd - Practice for E.L.A regents, Midterm - Part 1
