MY RULES
- Eating in the classroom is discouraged. However, if you have to “snack,” please do so responsibly.
- When you are late please obtain a late pass BEFORE coming to class.
- Enter the classroom as quickly and quietly as possible, sign the attendance sheet and place your late pass on my desk.
- After FOUR consecutive days absence a note is required and is to be signed by a guidance counselor, Assistant Principal, or Principal for readmission into class.
GRADING
Class notes are given on a daily basis.
Freewrites are done on a daily basis.
Reading content and analysis questions will be assigned.
Homework is given on a weekly basis and is due at the beginning of the following week. E.g. given out on Monday due the following Monday.
Late assignments will be accepted ONE WEEK after the due date.
ALL your written work (class notes, freewrites, questions, and homework) is to be done on an 8 ˝ by 11 hardbound composition book. (Notebooks will be reviewed on a weekly basis; Missing/incomplete notebooks WILL affect your grade.)
WEEKLY LISTENING and READING exams are given ONLY in class.
Quizzes written and oral, a mid-term, and a final exam are given.
**There are no make up exams except under extraordinary circumstances.**
