Monster Information

The handmaidens of Andariel, these powerful demonesses were thought to have been all but killed off during the battle below Tristram, but Baal has unleashed his personal harem on Mt. Arreat and enlisted their charms to help fulfill his desire to control the mortal realm. Succubi are among the most zealous minions of their master. They possess an incessant craving for blood, especially that of human men, and they take to battle with a passion and a joy not often seen in demons. They are fast and mobile in combat, preferring to weaken their prey from a distance with a diabolical curse that causes the afflicted to lose life instead of mana when using their skills. Once their prey is weakened, the Succubi move in for the kill, slashing viciously with their long, curved talons.

Catapult
Forged by the most powerful of hell’s smiths, catapults are demonic souls fused with iron. As a form of punishment for disloyal demons, the Three would capture demonic spirits and bind them to the very metal of the catapults. The demon would then be forced to live out the rest of its limited existence in this f
orm.

Blood Lords are raging, uncontrollable brutes and have the freedom to act independently from the other demonic troops on the battlefield. They are strictly melee fighters, but their devastating blows inflict both normal and magic damage.

Overseers are the large, brutish leaders of the Minions. Their main weapon is a barbed whip that they can use on their troops, throwing their subordinates into a bloodlust -- or even causing the minion to mutate its form and charge against the nearest opponent. Once a mutated Minion has reached its target, the Minion dies in a horrid explosion, causing massive damage to its target. The Overseer can also create a healing vortex that seeks out damaged Minions, allowing them to regain lost life.

Putrid Defiler (Demon)
Putrid Defiler, Retched Defiler, Fetid Defiler, Rancid Defiler, Rank Defiler

These vile, loathsome beasts strike fear even into the black souls of Baal's own troops. Not only can the Defiler viciously attack using its razor-sharp forelegs, it reproduces at will by silently hovering near an unwary demon and parasitically infecting the hell-spawn with pain worms. These pain worms immediately travel to the brain of the host monster, and grow fat on the vile thoughts of the fiend. If the monster is killed while the worms are gestating, the parasites eat their way through the beast's brain and ultimately burrow out of its skull in search of a new body to inhabit.

Minion of Destruction (Demon)

These powerful minions are the personal pets of Baal. He can almost always be seen with at least two of them on either side waiting for his command. When they attack, it is with such force that a warrior may feel like he was hit by twenty fists and not just four. These beasts like to snap the neck of their prey with a single strike, dragging them off to eat for a future meal.

Abominable (Animal)
Snow Drifter, Abominable, Chilled Froth, Frozen Abyss

A slightly different breed from its southern brother the Wendigo, the Abominable is very similar in nature. They are large but agile creatures often found in the caves surrounding the mountain range of Kae Huron. The main difference that separates the Abominable from the Wendigo is the temperature it can survive in. The Abominable appears to like it cold, very cold. None have ever been spotted in an environment where the temperature wasn’t below freezing. Just as the Wendigo, the Abominable were previously known to coexist peacefully with humans, avoiding contact whenever possible. However, chaos has tainted them, as they are now quick to anger and attack with huge, sweeping blows of their massive claws. Once provoked, they do not relent until their opponent is slain or they themselves have fallen.
