! SAVE OUR EARTH !

Our earth is in trouble because of all the pollutants, extinction of natural landmarks and animals, such as, rainforests and the pedegrin falcon. Did you know that kids like you and me are the most powerful and persuasive people of all? And with our little "power" you can save our earth in a way, not even a scientist can. You might think "Ehh, who cares, I'm not going to live to see it happen anyway". Well then think of the people of the future. How will they feel living in a polluted planet? You might also think "So, like I really care about those people's stupid feelings." Well, sorry to burst your bubble but some of those people will be your children, your grandchildren and your grandchildren's chidlren.

So help save our earth and you might feel a lot better.

Below are very good informative sites that you can visit to get more ideas on how to save the earth. Under the links are tremendously easy things that you can do to save the earth, starting right at your home.

THINGS YOU CAN DO:

  • Recycle and use less styrofoam

  • When it's not that hot, use a fan instead of an air conditioner

Save our seas

Below are facts about what's happening to our earth right now. Here is a list

of things you can do, starting right in your own home.

THINGS YOU CAN DO:

  • Recycle and use less styrofoam

  • When it's not that hot, use a fan instead of an air conditioner

  • Recycle cans, plastic bottles, paper, etc.

  • Reuse plastic bottles

  • Use less paper

  • Use the back of paper

  • Walk or ride the bus to school instead of a car

  • Don't litter

  • Save water, if your sink faucet drips one drop per second, you wasted 800 gallons of water per year. So repair the faucet.

  • Turn off lights, tv, radio, etc. When not in use.

  • Use and buy less products made by forest material.

  • Don't blow up balloons for no reason. When the balloon has no more gas, it will land on the ground and animals could get choked by eating them.

  • Do things manually instead of electrically, like open cans by hands instead of using a electrical can-opener.

  • Use less hot water

  • Buy organic foods

  • Plant trees and more trees if you have done it before.

  • Make a fundraiser and get people to help.

  • Avoid products that can only be used once and get thrown away like a one-time-use camera.

  • Buy products with little or no packaging.

  • Make a compost heap at your backyard.

  • Buy and support recycled products.

  • Don't buy products if animals were killed to make them like leather or coats that use animal fur.

  • Cut up your six-rings soda plastic before throwing them out.

  • Write letters to people who you know are hurting the environment.

The best thing to do besides the ideas above:

You can help by starting a fundraiser to raise money to donate to institutions that work to save the earth ( Like the fundraiser in our school that sells Daffodils for the Cancer Institution). Fundraising is a very good idea if you have a group of people who are willing to start one. The Rainforest Action Network link on the top is an Institution that recieves donations. Even if these donations are small amounts of money, they are all useful.

A very good site that helps you start a fundraiser is www.fundraising.com. You can purchase products from them to help you in your fundraiser. They have lollipops, cookies, chocolate, etc. They can be somewhat pricy, but it's worth it.
