Advanced Placement Psychology


Advanced Placement Psychology is a course designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the methods psychologists use in their science and practice.

A.P. Psychology is a full year course, near the end of which students are expected to take the Advanced Placement Exam given by the College Board. Prerequisites for this course include Regents Biology and Chemistry, Regents Math Level I and II, and the ability to comprehend material written at the level of professional journals.
