This course provides instruction in the operation of studio cameras, monitors, lighting and audio for television production. Students must be highly motivated, attentive and willing to accept challenges. Students will: Explore the principles of producing and directing live-to-video tape programs.
Learn to master the skills and factual understanding necessary to operate and direct the functional components of the television studio.
Learn visualization, camera work, editing techniques, script writing, script analysis, casting and directing.
Learn to work as and with talent, writers, and reporters on television productions.
Learn the technical operation of a television production facility and will act as talent, writers, and reporters.
Be responsible for the daily production of the public address announcements.
Learn Film and edit special productions.
