A new era has begun at Midwood High School with the adoption of an iniative known asthe New Continuum.

    The New Continuum provides a new way of looking at how we support the needs of all students.

    It makes possible the best use of our resources to realize the potential of each and every student.

    The New Continuum of Services assures all students with disabilities access to the general education curriculum.

    The continuum provides a broad range of services addressing the needs of all students with disabilities.  It provides for their education alongside non-disabled peers.  Mostimportantly, it assures parents full access to procedural and substantiverights.  It also facilitates their informed particiaption in the decisionmaking process.

    Among the services Ms. Micillo coordinates are tutoring, counseling, and attendance monitoring.  She will beproviding informative parent workshops as well as an ongoing communicationnetwork with parents of students involved in this initiative.
