DYKER HEIGHTS I.S. 201 SELECTED TO REPRESENT NEW YORK CITY

     IN NEW YORK STATE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD COMPETITION

*Results at the New York City Metropolitan Regional Science Olympiad Competition: Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 are impressive with Dyker Heights I.S. 201 receiving 12 medals encompassing three gold, three silver and six bronze in 17 events. Once again Dyker Heights I.S. 201 achieved a ranking in the top three in the New York City Regional Competition to qualify for the New York State Science Olympiad Finals.  This year Dyker will represent New York City at the New York State Science Olympiad Finals to be held at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, Saturday, April 24, 2004.

The win this year continues the Team's streak of representing the N.Y.C. region the last five years in a row. Pictured are the Team members and two of their teacher coaches, Richard Igneri, and Cindy Scognamillo. Also, special thanks to teaching coaches, Carolyn Lee and Michael DeStefano.
