Welcome to the International Middle School at the Ditmas Educational Complex. We are very excited about the new academic year and are glad you are a part of "our journey to excellence".

    The International Middle School is a multi cultural environment that enriches native languages while helping students learn the English language and American culture. Our staff is trained to reach the unique needs of our population. We have students from Bangladesh, Haiti, Russia, Pakistan as well as a variety of Spanish speaking cultures.

    In the spirit of our nation, 'e pluribus unum", our Governance Committee in conjunction with the Parents' Association decided that all IMS students should dress uniformly. The uniform includes white shirts/blouses and black/blue pants, slacks or skirts (no jeans, sweatpants, or tee shirts). The Muslim girls may wear white kames, white shalwar, blue dupatta, and black/blue sweater/sweatshirt. We are very excited about the International Middle School's look.

    The International Middle School focuses on the development of the child, not only academically, but also socially. We fell that this growth will take place by emphasizing respect. We foster respect for yourself, respect for others, respect for property. When this attitude is in place we know the children will succeed on all levels.
