Ditmas Educational Complex
At Intermediate School 62 |
| In
September 1996, Ditmas Intermediate School 62 was re-structured through their affiliation
with the Manhattan Institute into an educational complex consisting of four specialized
theme-based institutes. Each institute has its own director. Each institute provides
students with the required curriculum and a solid preparation for high school. Each
institute is autonomous with its own Student Government, Governance Committee and Parents
Association. In Addition, a joint Parents Association, consisting of parents from each
school, meets monthly to share concerns and plan building-wide events. |

to prepare students to participate in the cultural life of America. The specialty areas
offered are Band, Chorus, Dance, Drama, Keyboard, and Visual Arts. The institute
believes firmly in the concept of cooperative education for all children in the
establishment of a parent/teacher partnership for the betterment of all our students.
