Vision Statement

The teachers, staff and parents of the PS 48 community are focused on the collaborative development of an instructional program that allows all students to reach high standards of academic achievement. We understand that each of our students needs to experience success and to make connections to their world.

Our program of standards driven instruction, delivered in a tension free educational environment, creates an atmosphere conducive to learning. We provide a rigorous and dynamic educational program staffed by caring, dedicated, motivated and highly competent teachers. Our goal is to develop life long learners.

In order for students to become productive members of the world community, social skills and citizenship are emphasized as we guide them into their roles in the world community.
